Lernziele und Kompetenzen:

• Knowledge about scattering mechanisms of light

• Being familiar with the mechanisms of laser/tissue interaction

• Knowledge about the modelling of light propagation in tissue

• Being familiar with the RTE and MC simulations of photon transport

• Being familiar with the basic procedures to determine the optical properties of tissue

• Having an overview on diagnostic and therapeutic applications of light and lasers
